The Nutrition & Health Division is looking for a talented and motivated person to join our LATAM team as a Technical Service Consultant.
This position is accountable for the technical support of projects in the Northern Latin American region (Mexico, Central America, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, and French Guyana), while working in close cooperation with respective Account Managers and Distribution Partners in the different countries.
He/She will play an important role with Dupont customers, representing Dupont's technical community as problem-solvers and identifying new opportunities, working with the Product and Process R&D groups to develop new products or process technology to support the customers.
Main responsibilities go from troubleshooting to supporting processing of existing products at customers, to defining new product applications and modifying existing products to meet new customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Partner with the commercial team to understand how he/she can help deliver/exceed the business plan, by developing customer intimacy and generating/presenting relevant, credible, high quality technical information for targeted customers.
Constantly engaged with customers, building productive and collaborative trust-based relationships with the assigned accounts.
Covers immediate action/troubleshooting at customers in close cooperation with sales, research and manufacturing activities, including sampling, identifying problem source (at custsmers or at Dupont) and reporting.
Ensures product quality and performance standards meet customer needs through continuous evaluation of product, and identifies opportunities for customer specification requests.

Job Qualifications
Education: Degree in a chemical engineering and related careers.

Required Qualifications:
At least 5 years of hands-on experience working in a pharmaceutical company or industrial on similar position.
Strong industry experience in formulation of immediate and modified release oral solid dosage forms, both in matrix or coated solutions. Knowledge in solubilization enhancement technologies is desired.
Strong industry expertise in using conventional and most commonly used technologies such as high shear granulator, fluid bed granulator, rotary tablet presses, Roller compactor, etc
Experience in hot/melt extruders, spray dryers, is a strong plus.
Strong ability to influence customer’s decision in selecting excipients in their drug products.
Troubleshooter and solution provider to customers using our products in drug products.
Strong interpersonal relationship building skills. Proactively seeks to understand differences of opinions to resolve issues and to achieve results.
Ability to work independently and lead projects to completion.
Ability to translate product attributes for marketing and sales.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present complex information in an understandable way to various audiences.
Excellent in written and spoken Spanish.
Good in written and spoken English.

Job Information and working condition:

Travel 50% of time within the Latin American region.
