Conference at a Glance
The Organizing Committee puts together an exciting program for participants and their guests as well.
The ice-breaking cocktail will be on Sunday evening, Sep 20th, 2009, at the Holiday Inn Hotel located at
2779 of San Jerónimo Street. Technical sessions are scheduled for every morning and afternoon, except
Wednesday, which has been reserved for the field trip.
Monday, Sept 21st: the Symposium will begin with the opening ceremony, followed by one Keynote Lecture.
Technical sessions will continue during the morning and afternoon. At the evening, the conference delegates will enjoy
a light dinner at the Costa Litoral catamaran while navigating the waterways around Santa Fe harbour for about two hours.
Tuesday, Sep 22nd: one Keynote will open the technical session during the morning, and one Invited Talk will open
one of the concurrent technical sessions scheduled for the afternoon. Poster contest is reserved for the evening, at the Santa Fe
Brewing Company. Local beer and other local delicatessen will be served to foster the interaction with the poster's authors.
Wednesday, Sep 23rd: the Symposium will move to the Estancia Santa Catalina, located by the Calchines River nearby
Old Santa Fe Town. There will be two Keynote lectures in the morning, with coffee breaks and lunch in the gardens. After lunch,
two more Keynotes lectures will be presented. Around mid-afternoon, the conference delegates will enjoy free time; options are
to enjoy horse-riding or to navigate the Calchines River with a fan-boat or to play or watch the football game Argentina vs
Rest of the World. Local delicatessen will be served meanwhile. At the early evening, a table for those eager to taste wines of
the New World will be available, and the day will close with a traditional Argentine barbecue before returning to Santa Fe City

Thursday, Sept 24th: the last Invited Talk will open one of the concurrent technical sessions scheduled for the morning, and the
last Keynote will be presented right after lunch. Later in the evening, the conference banquette will be served in the Jockey Club Sur,
with the performance of the Santa Fe Jazz Ensemble Band.
Friday, Sept 25th: After wrapping the technical sessions scheduled for the morning, the Symposium will be closed by noon. As is the RCEM tradition, lunch and dinner for every participant will be covered by the registration.
